The text accompanying the photo notes the locomotive's road number was #2. A close up view of the locomotive's road number plate agrees.   However, per George R. Kadelak, the Lima Field Service Department Cards note the road number was #4.   George shared his research and opinion on the pictured locomotive and the road number contradiction: "I did some digging and found that the Lima Spec Sheet, Numerical Record, & West Coast Spec Sheet, shows 2266 as rd# 2. Dan Ranger list 2266 as rd# 2. Koch book list 2266 as #2. . . . . . Also the style of the tank is a style used on 60-2 class shays which 2266 is. There fore I stand with it is s/n 2266."
